- Vidrir was the leader of the Order of Seasons and once wielded Summer’s Edge in a great war against the Shadowfell
- Vidrir is Odin in disguise
- Elven control over magic is due to their proximity to a large rift between the mundane world and the elemental planes (Feywild and Shadowfell are closest)
- A powerful magical barrier holds the elemental energies at bay (Forbiddence) and allows the elves to tap into the planes with some level of control.
- The original Matriarch organized the ritual that created the barrier and lent much of her power to its formation.
- No one has been born with the Matriarch’s gift for barriers in two generations, and the barrier is beginning to weaken.
- A powerful entity from the Shadowfell seeks to take advantage of the weakening barrier to enter our world.

Deadly Encounter Benchmark
Calculate the deadly encounter benchmark by adding together all character levels and dividing by 2 if they’re 5th level or above or divide by 4 if they’re 1st to 4th level. An encounter may be deadly if the sum total of monster challenge ratings is greater than half the sum total of character levels or one quarter of character levels if the characters are 4th level or below.

- Arrive in the feywild
Scenes
- Journey up the mountain
- Troll encounter
- As the party reaches a narrow mountain pass, they encounter Borbak the Toll-Troll, a massive, moss-covered fey troll who blocks the only safe path forward. Unlike normal trolls, Borbak is infused with Feywild magic, giving him an unusual trickster-like nature.
- Glimpse the Weaver’s ancestral home
- Asthe party ascends the mountain, they reach a high vantage point where the Feywild mist parts, revealing a dark, looming castle in the valley below. The architecture is warped, with elongated spires, stained-glass windows that seem to shift images, and a haunted, dreamlike quality.
- Face Manus at the peak
- Gather the final material needed to reforge Summer’s Edge (orig)
Secret and Clues
- The ruling family of the summer court has worshiped the Dusk Lord for generations
- The mountain’s real name is “Evenode Peak”, or “Tael’anore” in elvish
- The Weaver’s family home is near the mountain.
- The Weaver was once a child of nobility before his family allied themselves with Niddhog and was later humiliated by agents of the Dusk Lord.
